Dear parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to Ceres Primary School. We believe our school provides a warm and nurturing environment where the individual development of each child—academically, emotionally, and socially—is our primary focus.
Our school values of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience underpin our commitment to providing students with educational opportunities that enrich their academic, social, and personal skills.
We currently have 6 classes, including composite classes for Years F/1, 2/3 and 4/5/6. Our weekly learning program is further complemented by our specialist programs, which include The Arts (Performing Arts, and Visual Art), Physical Education, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and the MARC library van each fortnight.
Parent involvement is a key feature of our school, and we have a strong commitment to the home-school partnership. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to work alongside teachers as partners in their child’s education. This partnership is further strengthened through an extensive range of community events throughout the year, including our Annual Christmas Fair held in late November.
Ceres Primary School is a community-minded school with strong local connections, supported by a dedicated staff, School Council, and Junior School Council. We take great pride in fostering an open and friendly atmosphere where families feel valued and engaged.
We invite new students and families from our local neighbouring suburbs to contact the school for further details or to arrange a tour. We look forward to building a strong partnership in your child’s education and developing lifelong learners who embrace challenges with confidence.
Warm regards,
Tim Callaghan
Acting Principal
