10.45am-11.15am	Recess (eating 10.45-10.50am)
1.15-1.20pm	Lunchtime (inside eating)
1.20-2.00pm	Lunchtime (play)
3.00pm	Dismissal (supervision provided until 3.15pm)

Please note:

Last day of Terms 1, 2 and 3 dismissal is 2.30pm

Last day of Term 4 dismissal is 2.00pm

Office hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

We expect students to attend school for a full day. If your child needs to be picked up early you must attend the office, and sign your child out.

Regular attendance is important. Regular attendance helps school work, social adjustment and development of dependability.

The school day starts at 8.45am. Please ensure that your child arrives on time. We recommend students arrive as close to 8:35am as possible, as the yard is supervised from 8:35am and this allows them time to place their bag, visit the amenities and catch up with friends before the bell rings for line-up.

Parents are asked to please notify the office, before 9am, of any child's absence (for half or full day) this is either through Compass, emailing the school or ringing the office on 5249 1382. A text message will be sent out at 9:20am if your child has been marked as Unexplained, you will then be required to log the absence in Compass or call the office.

If someone other than a parent is collecting your child during school hours, you are asked to call the office. If we have not received notice of your child being collected by someone else, we will be contacting you and not allowing your child to leave the school grounds until we have verbal permission from a parent.

If your child has an illness that warrants exclusion from school please alert the office so that any necessary steps can be carried out.

2027 Onwards

From the beginning of 2027, the Ceres Primary School day will be extended by 15 minutes, with dismissal moving from 3:00pm to 3:15pm.

This change follows feedback from families, staff and students about providing students with more time to eat during the school day. The additional time will allow for a more relaxed lunch break, supporting student wellbeing, concentration and energy levels while reducing the pressure to rush meals.

New daily timetable from 2027:

8:35am – Supervision begins
8:45–10:45am – Sessions 1 & 2
10:45–11:25am – Recess and eating time
11:25am–1:25pm – Sessions 3 & 4
1:25–2:15pm – Lunch and play
2:15–3:15pm – Session 5
3:15pm – School finishes
3:15–3:30pm – Gate supervision
