School Captains and other student leadership positions
At the end of each year, the students in Grade 5 can put themselves forward to be elected as School Captain or another leadership role. This includes presenting a candidate speech to the entire school body. The students then vote on who they would like to represent them for the following year. Our 2025 School Captains are -
School Captains
Eliza and Noah
Vice Captains
Jordan and Isla
Media Captains
Angie, Emily, Edie and Evanna
Wellbeing Captains
Scarlett, Nate and Millie
House Captains - Lok-Lok
Logan and Frankie
House Captains - Kanyul
Sienna and Hamish
Junior School Council (JSC)
JSC stands for ‘Junior School Council’, This is a group of students who work together to develop their leadership, initiative and
improve our school from the eyes of the students. At Ceres, we value the voices of all of our students and therefore each class is represented in our JSC.
2025 JSC elections will be held in the first few weeks of Term 1 with the badge presentations expected to be held in Week 5.
House Groups
All students are placed into a House. Where possible, students from the same family are placed in the same house.
The two houses are:
Lok Lok Eagles - Yellow
Kanyul Kangaroos - Green
Reports and Parent/Teacher Interviews
Students' reports are issued twice yearly, in June and December.
Parent information sessions are held during first term. This enables any concerns or requests for special consideration to be raised early enough for action to be taken. If you wish to discuss your child's progress at any stage, a phone call to arrange a meeting at a mutually acceptable time with the teacher would be appreciated.
