Assessment

At Ceres, we have a continuous approach to assessment, with teachers providing regular feedback to parents on learning tasks conducted throughout each term, accessed on Compass. The feedback from these tasks is shared as pre and post assessment, with the learning sample and goals viewable on Seesaw.

Tasks such as writing samples, problem solving, reading responses, projects and oral presentations form Learning Tasks.

Growth and improvement are celebrated in these tasks as well as identifying key areas for future development to keep parents informed about their children’s progress. This style means that parents are constantly updated and in the loop with their child’s learning.
